Western Baptist Hospital invites women to a special ladies night out to promote breast cancer awareness and encourage mammograms during Baptist at the Box Office.
Women, who are over 40 and never had a mammogram or haven’t had one in three or more years, are encouraged to attend a free screening of “Grease” at Maiden Alley Cinema, 112 Maiden Alley, on Monday and receive valuable information from the hospital’s health care providers.
Ladies are encouraged to dress in ’50s-style attire and will be provided with free popcorn by Western Baptist and Murray State University.
Moviegoers will also get a brief medical update on breast cancer.
Dr. Jennifer Brien, radiologist, will discuss the need for and accuracy of mammograms. Kay Travis, community college administrator, will provide a breast cancer survivor’s perspective. Betty Brown, Baptist Imaging Center supervisor, will describe the comfort and ease of digital mammograms.
Seating is limited to 140 guests who meet the requirements.
