BROOKPORT, Ill. — Mary Copeland, 83, of Brookport, Ill., passed away Monday, July 15, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Aikins-Farmer Brookport Chapel. Rev. David Atwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Mary was a member of Waldo Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by three nephews, David Atwell of Hickory, Charles Harris of California, and Victor Atwell of Kokomo, Ind.; three nieces, Joan Hawes, Melva Ann Lusby of Norma, Okla., and Kathy Wooten of Paducah; great-nieces and nephews, Allie and Casey Atwell, Dustin, Erin, Lauren Atwell, and Alex Wooten.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Geneva (Schafter) Francis; her husband, Frank Copeland; four brothers, John Francis Jr., William Francis, Joseph Francis, and Stephen Francis; three sisters, Sue Gagnon, Wanda Banks, Betty Harmon; two great-nephews, Joshua Taylor Atwell and Sgt. Bradley Wayne Atwell USMC.
Friends may call to Aikins-Farmer Brookport Chapel Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
