Robert Reed Croft, 70, of Paducah, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, at 2:03 p.m. at Baptist Health Paducah.
Formerly of Lola, Robert was born in Salem, Ky., January 19, 1943, to Ercel and Oma Croft. He served in the Army National Guard for seven years and worked as a film director for WPSD-TV Channel 6, where he retired after forty years of service. He and his loving wife Donna were married for forty-nine years. Of the Baptist faith, he loved to detail cars and did so in this region for many years. One of his favorite companions was his German Shepherd dog, Derec, who was retired from the McCracken County Sheriff Department K-9 Unit.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Kay Watson Croft; his daughter, Barbie Croft-Kittel; his son, Stevan Reed Croft and fiancée Lindsey Cornn, all of Paducah; four grandchildren, Miranda Cooper and husband Brandon, Taylor Reed Croft and girlfriend Illyssa, Hannah Kaylene, and Brady Robert Croft; two great-grandchildren, Logan William and Miles Cannon Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ercel Reed and Oma Jewell Croft.
Visitation for Mr. Croft will be held from 5 p.m. -8 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Funeral services will take place Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah at 1 p.m., with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Salem. Rev. Wayne Carter and Dr. Tim Davis will officiate.
