LOUISVILLE — William “Bill” Lloyd Beggs, 80, formerly of Paducah, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Hosparus Inpatient Unit at Norton Pavilion in Louisville.

He was an Eagle Scout, a retired plant manager for Bell South, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of Beargrass Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Sealy Beggs; his children, Steve Beggs, Susan Guin, Sandy Beggs and Sherri Crosby; one sister, Shirley Osborne, and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were Herman and Lettye Beggs.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road in St. Matthews, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East with military honors. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the funeral home.
