VIENNA, Ill. — Jo Steiger, 79, of Vienna died at 3:08 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Spokane Valley, Wash.

She had been a nurse’s aide at Hopedale Hospital and a member of Gilead Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Cindy Havens of Spokane Valley; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Ina Whitley, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Steiger; one grandson; two sisters, and six brothers. Her parents were Walter Cook Sr. and Fannie (Newbold) Cook.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Wise-Robinson Cemetery in Ozark. Those attending are asked to be there at 9:45 a.m. There will be no public visitation.
