BENTON — Cecil Henry King, 93, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away at 6:51 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Henry was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army, where he received the Purple Heart, and retired from B.F. Goodrich.
He is survived by his daughter, Jerri Lynn Cross of Gilbertsville, Ky.; one granddaughter, Crystal Harper and her husband Aaron of Benton, Ky.; one great-grandson, Hank Harper of Benton, Ky.; and one brother, Glen A. King of Benton, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Beatrice Smith King; and one brother, Arnold King. His parents were Walter Monroe King and Elizabeth Catherine Curtis King.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Bro. Jonathan Goodman will officiate and burial with military rites will follow in the King Family Cemetery.
