Jimmie “Jimbo” Hammonds, 68, of Paducah died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at his home.

He was a cement finisher for Local 135 and of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie Sue Eubanks; one daughter, Carol Humphrey of Paducah; one son, Louis Hammonds of Paducah; one brother, Eddie Hammonds of Canton, Ohio; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were Otho Hammonds and Jeannie Harper Hammonds.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Pleasant officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Grand Rivers.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
