MAYFIELD — Roy Bean, 91, of Mayfield died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mayfield and owner of Mayfield Tire Center. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Sue Toon Bean; one daughter, Judy Duren of Mayfield; one son, Jimmy Bean of Mayfield; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Mary Wade Bean.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Maplewood Cemetery with the Rev. Wes Fowler officiating and military rites. Friends may call from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sunday at Byrn Funeral Home.
