Ethel Louise Ross, age 83, of Paducah, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at 9:30 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at her residence.
Born in Clifford, Illinois, Ethel had worked at Blanche’s Florist and the Fern Lake Gift Shop. She was a member of Paducah First Baptist Church where she was very active in the Women’s Missionary Union, and the Floral Committee. Ethel’s favorite hobby was growing flowers of all varieties.
Ethel is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles M. Ross; her two sons, David Ross and Dan Ross, both of Paducah; a sister, Nadine Battioli of Herrin, Illinois; a brother, Tom DeVardo of Marion, Illinois; and her grandson, Phillip Ross of Ft. Worth, Texas. Other survivors include a sister-in-law, Billie Jo LeNeave of Paducah, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Her parents were Phillip and Mabel Swinford DeVardo.
Funeral services for Ethel Louise Ross will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
