MURRAY — Clarence Lamar Johnson, 94, of Murray died Monday, February 25, 2013, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

He retired as a supervisor for Philip Morris Company after 34 years of service.

He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and of the Korean Conflict.

He was a 50-year member of the Wilhelm Masonic Lodge 720; a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ and a former member of the Shively Christian Church in Louisville, serving there as an elder, deacon and trustee.

He is survived by his wife, Pallie Corine Johnson; one son, Gary L. Johnson of Murray; one sister, Mildred Gibson of Coal City, Ill.; two brothers, Marion Shelby Johnson of Piney Flatts, Tenn. ,and James L. “Jimmy” Johnson of Leitchfield; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. His parents were James Leonard Johnson and Lula Van Meter Johnson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale, Garry Evans and Jason Hart officiating.

Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at the funeral home.
