CAVE-IN-ROCK, Ill. — Services for Robert E. Dixon, 73, of Hardin County will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-in-Rock. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Dixon died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in a nursing home in Harrisburg.

He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Aurora for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Dixon; three children, Rebecca Calvert of Sandwich, Robert Dixon of Burbank, Calif., and Karla (Rick) Wheeler of Wahpeton, N.D.; two grandchildren; three brothers, Clarence Dixon of Cave-in-Rock, Galen Dixon of Metropolis and Jimmy Dixon of Rosiclare; three stepchildren, Benny Orman and David Orman, both of Cave-in-Rock, and Kim Orman of Metropolis; four stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister. His parents were Carl and Thelma Dixon.
