EDDYVILLE — Marvin Mullinix, 89, of Eddyville died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at his home.

He was a retired administrator for school district 186 in Springfield, Ill., with over 40 years service. He was a member of the Springfield Art Association and Eddyville First Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Kent Mullinis of Jacksonville, Ill., and Stan Mullinix of Eddyville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John Mullinix and Larry Mullinix, both of Carrier Mills, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Robinson Mullinix; a great-great-grandson; two brothers; and one sister. His parents were Roy Lee Mullinix and Lillian Parrish Mullinix.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville with the Rev. Tim Perdue officiating. Graveside burial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, in Dillinger Cemetery, U.S. 51 in Carbondale, Ill.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.
