CADIZ — Services for John William “Bill” Darnall Jr., 77, of Buna, Texas, formerly of Cadiz, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Dr. Tom Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville.

Mr. Darnall died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at his home in Buna.

He was the owner and operator of Darnall Heating & Cooling in Cadiz for many years. He was a member of Cadiz Christian Church, where he was an elder and served as a board member. He was a member of the Hopkinsville Art Guild, Cadiz-Trigg County Historical Society, Christian Men’s Fellowship and Civitan Club. He also served as city water commissioner.

He is survived by his daughter, Dana Moore of Buna; one grandchild; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Nell Dunn Darnall; and one son, John William Darnall III. His parents were John William and Ethel Elizabeth Dickerson Darnall Sr.
