Robert Lewis Brown, age 78, of Paducah passed away Monday, February 11, 2013, at 5:20 a.m. at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

Mr. Brown was a native of Graves County. He was owner and operator of Bob Brown’s Gulf Station, worked for Marine Ways and Modine Manufacturing. He was a U.S. Army veteran, Kentucky Colonel, and Duke of Paducah, and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and served as past president of the Eagles.

Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Patsy Ingram Brown; two sisters, Charlotte Simmons of Melber, Ky., and Mary Helen Jones of Paducah, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shellie and Laura Jackson Brown; two brothers, R. Dale Brown and Flavious Brown; three sisters, Rosie Nell Ballard, Maydean Elder, and Betty Thweatt.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery with the Rev. Brandt Lyon officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Keeling Family Funeral Home.
