MURRAY — Jo Vereycken, 80, of Murray died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Spring Creek Health Care.
She was the retired co-owner of an appliance service company. She worked for the Senior Citizen Center and the Humane Society. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by one son, Gary Vereycken of Almo; one granddaughter; one sister, Mandy Hopper of Murray; two brothers, Henry Ruiz of Tampa, Fla., and Danny Ruiz of Orlando, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Vereycken; and one brother. Her parents were Henry and Bruna (Stradi) Ruiz.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with the Revs. Jason McClure and Kerry Lambert officiating. A private burial will be held at Vereycken Cemetery. Friends may visit from noon Sunday until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
