METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mrs. Barbara Giltner, age 70, of Metropolis, Ill., passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jon Cockrel will officiate.

Barbara was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Metropolis, traveled a lot, and lived a healthy married life.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Loverkamp and husband Lowell of Metropolis, Ill., and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Millage and Verna (Hinners) Kruger, and husband, Jerry Giltner.

There will not be any visitation. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery for the services.
