Claudine M. Reid Lyles, 92, of Symsonia, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital.

She worked in the cafeteria and was a bus driver for Symsonia school. She was a member of Symsonia United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, David Lyles and wife Devona of Symsonia; her son-in-law, Leonard Chappell of Symsonia; six grandchildren, Paul Chappell, Kevin Chappell, Sharla Graham, Katrina Lyles, Heather Nicholson, and Bethany Reeder; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dee Sawyer of Paducah.

She was preceded in death by her husband, V.G. Lyles; one daughter, Carole Chappell, one son, Danny Lyles; one grandson, Brandon Lyles; two sisters, Dorothy Simmons and Ruth Frizzell; four brothers, Rex Reid, Clay Marshall Reid, Howard Reid, and Tommy Reid; and her parents were Clay Irvin Reid and Gertrude McGuire Reid.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Richard Dobbs will officiate and burial will follow in Symsonia Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
