METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mrs. Evelyn Barger, 86, of Metropolis, Ill., passed away at 12:35 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the home of her son.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Metropolis. Rev. Jeff Bealmear will officiate. Burial will follow in Pell Cemetery.

Evelyn was a member of First United Methodist Church in Metropolis.

Evelyn is survived by three sons, Charles Barger and wife Debbie of Brookport, Ill., William Barger of Lone Oak, and Gary Barger and wife Arcel of Paducah; seven grandchildren, Charlie Barger of Metropolis, Ill., Jason Barger of Paducah, Jake Barger of Nashville, Tenn., Miranda Barger of Paducah, John Barger, Zechariah Barger, and Garielle Bless Barger, all of Paducah; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Clutts of Lawrenceville, Ill., and William Paul Clutts of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Della (Staton) Clutts; one son, James Jacob Barger; and two sisters, Mary Ann Perdew and Helen Rick.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 28, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Metropolis.
