Elizabeth Marie Bass and Garretson Dean Epperly were united in marriage July 21 at the Luther F. Carson Center with Judge Glenn E. Acree officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Bernard and Betty Bass of Paducah.
The groom is the son of Dale and Carol Epperly of Hurricane, W.Va.
The bride chose her sister, Ms. Laura Bass of Paducah, as her maid of honor. Serving as the bride’s attendants were Martin Bass of Paducah, brother of the bride, and Ms. Kelsey Ladt of Paducah. Miss Lillian Bass, daughter of Martin Bass, served as the flower girl.
The groom chose his brother, Alexander Epperly of Beckley, W.Va., as his best man. Serving as the groom’s attendants were Mrs. Jackie Clark of Lynchburg, Va., sister of the groom, and Nicholas Clark of Lynchburg. Ushers were Jared Campbell of Atlanta and Richard Neely of Seattle, Wash.
A reception followed.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Heath High School, a 2004 graduate of Transylvania University in Lexington with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a 2008 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law with a juris doctorate degree. She is employed by the Kentucky Court of Appeals, Chief Judge Glenn E. Acree.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of George Washington High School in Charleston, W.Va., and earned a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology in 2005 and a master’s degree in medical sciences in 2009, both from the University of Kentucky. He is employed by the University of Kentucky Health Care’s Markey Cancer Center.
The couple reside in Lexington.
