KEVIL — Bobie Daniel Hack Sr., age 79, of Kevil, Ky., died at 12:25 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. He was born January 28, 1933, to Charles T. and Mary Medlin Hack in La Center.
Dan was a member of Newton Creek Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon for 50 years. He was an Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Dan was retired from Westvaco where he had worked as an electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hack of Kevil; one son, Bobie Hack Jr. and his wife, Ruth of Paducah; two daughters, Bonnie Viniard and her husband, Russell of Kevil; and Carol Ann Baugh and her husband, Andrew of Madison, Alabama; one brother, Dickie Hack of La Center; one sister, Betty Jo Freeman of La Center; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Dan was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Bill Hack; one sister, Maxine Anderson; and his parents, Charles and Mary Medlin Hack.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Newton Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Carter and the Rev. Don Pippin officiating. Interment will follow at Newton Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Morrow Funeral Chapel of La Center and after 12 noon Sunday at the church.
