METROPOLIS, Ill. — Doris C. Krueger, age 82, of Metropolis passed away Friday, January 18, 2013, at the Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Ill., at 10:14 p.m.
She was born Doris Caroline Eickholz. Her parents were William and Emma (Hinners) Eickholz.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Cross with Rev. David Deem officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Gary Krueger and wife Rita, Debra James and husband Chris, both of Metropolis, Ill., and Kimberly Milejczak of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Lori Krueger, Bryan Krueger and wife Amy, and Samuel Milejczak; and two great-grandchildren, Jenna and Caroline Krueger
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin H. Krueger; her granddaughter, Kelsey Glass; and three sisters, Loretta Copley, Florence Deasel and Alfreda Bremer.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross and was a retired social worker for the state of Illinois.
Friends may call at the Lutheran Church of the Cross at 9 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11 a.m. on Tuesday Jan. 22, 2013.
Pallbearers — Bryan Krueger, Harold Lange, Tracy Suttles, Dale Mittendorf, John Taylor, and Walter Eime.
