BENTON — Phyllis Jean Lopez, 58, of Benton, Ky., passed away at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Vanderbilt University Hospital.
She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church and was a beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. She graduated from Murray State University in 1976.
She is survived by her children, Erin Cox Rausch and husband Justin of Tempe, Ariz., Adam Jordan Cox and fiancée Aubrey Porteous of Baton Rouge, La., and Devon Jo Cox of Benton, Ky.; her grandchildren, Tatum Rausch, Brody Rausch and Caden Thornton; her mother, Shelby Irvan Hurt of Benton, Ky.; and her brothers, Steven Hurt of Benton, Ky., and Michael Hurt of Dalton, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Lopez; and her father, James Hurt.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory. Rev. K. Alan Miller will officiate and burial will be in the Marshall County Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory.
