BENTON — Jackie A. Linsin, 56, of Benton, Kentucky passed away at 8:29 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital following a lifetime of deteriorating health.

Jackie had been a military policeman in the United States Army, and had also worked in electronics serving in the Gulf War. He was of the Christian faith and a member of the Alford Masonic Lodge #925 F & AM in Aurora. It’s well known that the Linsin family is very close, and Jackie loved his family, as well as his beloved Dachshund, Molly.

Jackie’s father, Pat Linsin of Benton, Kentucky survives him, as well as his love, Arlene Burgos; his five sisters, Linda and David Sawyers, Cathy and Wayne Hopkins, Connie Salcedo and Beverly Linsin, all of Hardin, and Stephanie Linsin of Benton; his two brothers, Dennis Linsin of Benton and Scott and Heidi Linsin of Hardin; a sister-in-law, Maureen Linsin of Benton; and several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mary Helen Jones Linsin; his brother, Randy Linsin; two sisters, Amanda Linsin and Mary Elizabeth McNeely; a great-niece, Addy Lassiter; and a sister-in-law, Kui Sook Linsin.

Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at the Alford Masonic Lodge in Aurora.

The family encourages all friends and family to attend. The service is open to the public.

There will also be a celebration of life service on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at the Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hardin. Rev. Brian Hayes will officiate, with family and friends sharing their favorite stories about Jackie. Following the service, military rites will be conducted in the Unity Cemetery by the American Legion, William A. Doyle Post #236 from Calvert City.
