BOAZ — Reda Gibbs Ivey, 73, of Boaz died Friday, January 18, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital.

She was retired from Mangrum Roofing, a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and a member of the Eastern Star in Folsomdale.

She is survived by one daughter, Marlana Smith of Hickory; one son, Mark Ivey of Boaz; three brothers, Clifton Gibbs of Golconda, Ill., Seldon Gibbs of Hickory, and Wayne Gibbs of Symsonia; three sisters, Bonnie Burnett of Melber, and Linda Ivey and Janice Wilson, both of Hickory; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Ivey; one son, Mike Ivey; and one brother.

Her parents were Curtis and Virgie Atherton Gibbs.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Revs. Glen Cope and Marshall Ivey officiating.

Burial will follow in North Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013, at the funeral home.
