Mr. and Mrs. James W. Hart of Paducah celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at their home. A reception is planned in the spring.

Mr. Hart and the former Desta Anne McCuan were married Jan. 17, 1963, by the Rev. E. Thach Shauf at Margaret Hank Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Paducah. Their attendants were Jane McCuan Rudolph, sister of the bride, and Dalton Chandler.

Mrs. Hart retired from Waldon-Denton State Farm Insurance with 35 years of service. She is the daughter of the late Curtis and Verlie Davis McCuan.

Mr. Hart is a retired partner with B&H Plumbing Service. He is the son of the late James A. Hart and the late Katie Griffith Hart.

They have two children: James C. Hart of Hickory and Terri Hart Ellington of Symsonia; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
