BENTON — Margaret Johnston, 85, of Benton passed away at 6:28 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013, at her residence.
She was of the Presbyterian faith. She retired from Gateway Lanes Bowling Alley in Draffenville and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sharon Casey of Benton, Sondra Turner and husband Charlie of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and Elizabeth Walker and husband David of Benton; one brother, Alex Reid and wife Gwen of Ocala, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby E. Johnston; one son, James A. Johnston; two sisters, Betty Townsend and Ann Owen; and her son-in-law, Bob Casey. Her parents were Alex and Minnie Martin Reid.
Graveside services for Mrs. Johnston will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Mount Kenton Cemetery, with the Rev. Albert R. Gaboriault officiating.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
