MAYFIELD — Donald Eugene Burgess, 70, of Mayfield died at 2:14 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Lourdes hospital.

He was of the Catholic faith and a road construction worker.

Mr. Burgess is survived by three daughters, Roxanne Page of Mayfield, Mickey Hall of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Jenny Stelter of Wingo; two sons, Rodney Burgess of Mayfield and Shane Burgess of Wingo; two brothers, Jerry Burgess of Mayfield and Darrell Burgess of Arlington; five sisters, Jane Jones of Mayfield, Pearl Keeling and Sheila Gay, both of Lone Oak, Dean Tyler of St. Louis, and Rita Stam of Paducah; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Sue Burgess; four sisters, and one brother. His parents were James Elmer and Ruby Clapp Burgess.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Rev. David Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Mayfield Memory Gardens.
