Anita Faye Crice, age 82, passed away on January 1, 2013, in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Anita was the youngest of 10 children raised by the late Robert and Lannie Crice of Ballard County.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene, Elwood and Dick Crice, and sisters, Nellie Walker, Pod Tilley, Thelma Davis, Mary Ann Nathan and Jessie Culver.
Anita lived most of her life in Wickliffe, Kentucky, and Cairo, Illinois, where many knew her for work at Harper’s Restaurant.
Since 2000, she had lived in Florida with her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Chuck Lindsey. She delighted in keeping up with news from Ballard County and spending time with her grandchildren. Lannie and Billy; her great-grandchildren, William, Irene, Ashley, Alexander, Kimberly and Sofia; and a great-great-granddaughter, Alaina. In addition to these, Anita is survived by a brother, Ernest Wells “Billy Bob” Crice, of Lovelaceville; as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and more.
The family in Florida plans to hold a private memorial service with family in Kentucky later this summer.
Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home.
