James Kenneth “Kenny” Helton Sr., 53, of Paducah, died at 3 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital.

A loving father and grandfather, Kenny was a mechanic, a motorcyclist, and an avid coin collector. He was a member of Broadway Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Trudy Kay Helton; three sons, James (Jessica) Helton of Benton, Jonathan Keith (Angel) Helton of Reidland, and Joshua Kevin (Crystal) Helton Sr. of Reidland; one daughter, Jennifer Kay Helton of Paducah; one sister, Brenda Kay Williams of Louisville; grandchildren, Maci Leann Helton, James Kenneth Helton III, Cody Shaun Parrish, Maddalynn Star Helton, Brooklyn Kyleigh Wilkey, Kristina Marie Tucker, Zachery Austin Helton, Kalee Helen Brook Helton, Joshua Kevin Helton Jr., Jayson Luke Helton, Megan Riley Helton, Daisy Lashae Helton, and Elizabeth Rose Helton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, David Wayne Helton, and one sister, Linda Sue Black. His parents were David Dewey Helton and Lucy Iona Helton.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday,  at Lindsey Funeral Home with Dan Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Dooms Chapel Cemetery in Symsonia.

Visitation will be Monday, January 7, 2013, from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
