MARION — John Kenneth Fritts, 97, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Marion, died Wednesday at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are one daughter, Wilma Kay Lewis of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, David O. Fritts of Corydon and Hollis Franklin Fritts of Daytona, Fla.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Conger Fritts; two grandchildren; one sister, and four brothers. His parents were John Phillip and Willie Maude Fritts.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Crooked Creek Church in Marion. Burial will be in Crooked Creek Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion.
