Lora Dean Bridges, age 91, of Paducah, went home to be with her Lord at 11:41 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2012, from Western Baptist Hospital.

Born in Trigg County, Lora had been a homemaker and was a member of Heartland Worship Center.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Bridges Parish, and her husband, Charlie, of Reidland, and Flora Bridges Smith, and her husband, Mike D. of Paducah; and her four sons, Walter Earl Bridges and his wife, Linda, of Reidland, Jerry Dale Bridges and his wife Cherrie, also of Reidland, Lanny Morris Bridges and his wife Patty, of Senatobia, Mississippi, and Rodger Alan Bridges and his wife Debbie of Kevil. Additional survivors include 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Lora was preceded in death by her husband, M.D. Bridges. Her parents were Blair “Doc” and Ida Mae Allen Cunningham.

A celebration of the life of Lora Dean Bridges will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2012, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Nathan Joyce officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Randy Bridges, Tony Bridges, Darryl Bridges, Michael D. Smith II, Thomas Lee Smith, and Trevor Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Myatt, Gary Gibbs, Chris Bridges, Joel Zuber, Kevin Phillips, J.D. Wallace, and Lynn Wallace.

Friends may visit with the family after 5 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
