COVINGTON, Ky. — Elizabeth Carolin Vollmar and Dr. Matthew William Mangino were united in marriage June 30 at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington with the Rev. Philip DeVous officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Linda Vollmar of Villa Hills.
The groom is the son of Joseph Mangino of Paducah and Virginia and Dr. Hilary Hunt of Paducah.
The bride chose Mrs. Annie Menjivar of Ocala, Fla., and Mrs. Meridith McGinty of Minneapolis as her matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jennifer Wolfe of Florence, Miss Hillary Monroe of Madison, Ind., and Miss Anna Wilson of Paducah. Serving as flower girls were Miss Lily Wilson, daughter of Dr. Doug and Melissa Wilson of Paducah; and Miss Avery McGinty, daughter of Mark and Meridith McGinty of Minneapolis.
The groom chose his twin brother, Dr. Michael Mangino of Louisville, as his best man. Groomsmen were Dr. Douglas Wilson of Paducah, Kerry Guidry of Houston, Nat Morris of Lexington and Tommy Vollmar of Louisville. Serving as ushers were Dr. Ryan Vonnahme of Hopkinsville and Dr. Jeff Banich of Colville, Wash.
A reception followed at The Madison in Covington.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills and earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 2005 from the University of Louisville. She is employed by Reidland High School in Paducah.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of St. Mary High School in Paducah and a 2009 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He is employed by Paducah Dental Care in Paducah.
The couple reside in Paducah.
