SALEM — Mrs. Mildred Sue (Martin) King, 70, of Salem, Ky., passed away Friday, December 28, 2012, at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.
Mrs. King was a native of Christian County and member of Salem Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Austin Peay State University and retired from the Livingston County Cooperative Extension Service.
She is survived by her sons, Christopher King and his wife Jana of Salem, Ky., and Robert King and his wife Tiffany of Marion, Ky.; two stepsons, Greg King and his wife Darlene of Salem, Ky., and Tony King and his wife Cathy of Marion, Ky.; two brothers, Glendel Martin of Louisville, Ky., and James W. Martin of Christian County, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Buddy” King; one brother, and her parents, Almer and Ethel Lancaster Martin.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors, with the Revs. John East and Clay Hall officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem.
