METROPOLIS, Ill. — Hester Floella “Bo Bo” Griffin, 87, of Metropolis, formerly of Mayfield, Ky., died Monday, December 24, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital.

She attended Weaver Creek Baptist Church and was a retired nurse’s aide from Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

She is survived by one son, John T. Griffin of Metropolis; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and one sister, Lillie Pugh of Mayfield.

She was preceded in death by one sister and one son, Bobby Sanford. Her parents were James Coleman and Annie May Forrester Dial.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. Shawn Vandergriff officiating. Interment will follow in Lynnville Pentecostal Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the funeral home.
