SEDALIA — Morton Russell Moore, 77, of Sedalia died at 12:52 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.

Mr. Moore retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Union City, Tenn., and was an employee of Brown Funeral Home. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Cobb Moore; his stepmother, Gladys Moore of Palmersville, Tenn.; one daughter, Drinda Zimmer of Lynnville; two sons, Dennis Moore of Canton, Mich., and Darrel Moore of Sedalia; one half sister, Mary Lou Jordan of Palmersville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Mae Gargus Moore; his father, Georgie Lou Moore, and a son, David Craig Moore.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Revs. Gary Heath and Howard Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery in Palmersville, Tenn. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today, Dec. 28, 2012, at the funeral home.
