BARLOW — Laura Jean Compton Ford, 75, of Barlow died at 1:44 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Lourdes hospital.

She formerly lived in Bardwell. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Barlow and a former member of First Christian Church of Bardwell. She was vice president of Citizens State Bank of Wickliffe, a former board member of the Ballard County Library, and was a member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her mother, Laura Bryant Compton of Paducah; a daughter, Cindy Rodgers of Paducah; a sister, Dorothy Edwards of Orange Cove, Calif.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Craig Ford; her father, Calvert Compton; a daughter, Kay Wolfe; and a sister.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with the Rev. Linda Creason officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
