Alvin Leon Thompson Sr., 67, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at his residence.

Surviving are one son, Alvin Leon Thompson Jr. of Boaz; three brothers, Jimmy H. Thompson of Columbia, S.C., William Thompson of Paducah, and Gary Thompson of Paducah; two sisters, Donnie S. Kerr of Paducah and Sheila Craig of Paducah; one granddaughter, Alex Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Treva Thompson.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Lindsey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2012, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
