MAYFIELD — Robert Enoch McPherson, 85, of Mayfield died at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012,  at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mayfield, he was retired from the former Mayfield General Tire & Rubber Company, and he was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy McPherson; daughters, Sandra McAlpin and Kathy Gilbert, both of Mayfield; son, Michael McPherson of West Virginia; stepdaughter, Jennifer Jones of Southgate; sisters, Norma Colley and Joyce Wilson, both of Mayfield; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Suzanne Jones; stepson, Michael Jones; one brother; and one grandson. His parents were Raymond and Myrtle Wright McPherson

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Maplewood Cemetery in Mayfield with the Revs. Wes Fowler and Butch Colley officiating. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.
