PRINCETON — Steve Sumner, 65, of Princeton died Monday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

He was the retired owner and operator of Sumner Automotive. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Joelton, Tenn.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Beckner Sumner; one son, Dana Sumner of Caldwell County; two stepsons, Dusty Baker and Morgan Baker, both of Caldwell County; one granddaughter; and four stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were Eulis Lloyd and Leona Baker Sumner.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Morgan’s Funeral Home with the Revs. David Royalty and Bobby Jackson  Sr., officiating with burial  in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
