ALMO — Nelson Garland, 78, of Almo died Friday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

He was a lineman for Murray Electric and was a member of Murray Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife, Marian Ferguson Garland; one son, Mark Garland of Murray; one daughter, Geneva Karanja of Murray; five brothers, Jimmy Garland, Bert Garland Jr., Dickie Garland, George Garland and Clayton Garland, all of Murray; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His parents were Bert and Lucille Garland.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Jeff Steen officiating. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Heritage Family Funeral Home.
