NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Janice Elizabeth Cole and Christopher Ryan England were united in marriage Sept. 29 at Benton Chapel in Nashville. Serving as readers were Michael Blumberg of New York City, Katie Beasley of Franklin, Tenn., and Melissa Murphy of Huntington Beach, Calif.
The bride is the daughter of Janice Jordan Cole of Shelbyville, Tenn. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Cole of Shelbyville, Tenn., and the late Imogene and Dorman Jordan.
The groom is the son of Drs. Gary and Roberta C. England of Paducah. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Hans Conrad of Cary, N.C., and the late Louise and Lurad England.
The bride chose Katherine Layman of Knoxville, Tenn., as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Shauna A. Jennings of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Lauren W. Garland of Shelbyville, Tenn., Jessica C. England of Fort Thomas, Ky., Marina N. Seroussi of New York City, Kristin B. Heath of Atlanta, Ga., Shelby Langford and Sydney Langford, both of Shelbyville. Serving as flower girls were Miss Kennedy Cole and Miss Maddy Cole, both of Shelbyville, and Miss Maria King and Miss Elena King, both of Nashville.
The groom chose his brother, Dr. Eric England of Fort Thomas, as his best man. Groomsmen were Rhys Marsh, Elliot Tarloff, Andrew Holt and Jeril Philip, all of New York City; Mathew Mazzeo of Los Angeles, Adam Farren of San Francisco, and Daniel Langford of Shelbyville. Serving as ushers were David Langford and Ryan Cole, both of Shelbyville and brothers of the bride.
A reception dinner and dance followed at the Vanderbilt University Club in Nashville.
The bride is a graduate of Vanderbilt and Belmont universities with degrees in child development and nursing, respectively. She earned a master’s degree in nurse anesthesia from Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia and is employed as a nurse anesthetist at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York.
The groom earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, a master’s degree from the London School of Economics in London, England, and a juris doctorate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He is employed in the New York offices of Proskauer Rose, LLP, as a corporate associate specializing in the health care industry.
The couple reside in New York City.
