Barbara Ann Skinner, age 74, of Paducah, passed away peacefully at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital.

Born in Hayti, Mo., Barbara was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, and for 18 years she served as a guidance counselor at St. Mary High School.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Terri Ra Norton of Pensacola, Fla.; her son, Quillard Jefferson Skinner III of Streator, Ill.; sister, Doris McAnally of Marion, Ill.; brother, James Edward Adkisson and wife Judy of Clinton, Miss.; four grandchildren, Cody Bechtold and Travis Bechtold, both of Pensacola, Fla., Paityn Skinner and Timmber Skinner, both of Streator, Ill., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Quillard Ray Skinner. Her parents were James Adkisson and Juanita Agnes Chism Adkisson.

Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church with the Rev. Brian Roby officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
