MAYFIELD — Graveside services for Dorothy Dean Melton Austin, 84, of Mayfield will be at noon today at Trinity Cemetery with her son, the Rev. Ralph Allan Austin, officiating.

Mrs. Austin died Wednesday at her home.

She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the Graves County Genealogical Society.

She also worked at J.J. Newberry.

Mrs. Austin is survived by one son, Ralph Allan Austin of Draffenville; two daughters, Elizabeth Carol Arnold Cecil of Grand Rivers and Deborah Ann Austin Gilbert of Mayfield; one brother, William Hunt Melton of Fayetteville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.F. Austin; and her son, Russell Keith “Rusty” Austin. Her parents were Ocus and Aubrey Elizabeth Henderson Melton.

There will be no visitation. Byrn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
