KIRKSEY — William Lawrence, 84, of Kirksey died Wednesday at his home.

Mr. Lawrence, a native of Calloway County, was a member of Owens Chapel Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Free Lawrence; a son, Gary Lawrence of Kirksey; four daughters, Doris Green and Sheila Turner, both of Kirksey, and Darlene Wilkerson and Diana Chadwick, both of Murray; a sister, Glenda Peppel of Murray; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Lawrence; and three brothers. His parents were Ocus Lawrence and Lottie Lucille Stubblefield Lawrence.

Private family services are planned. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
