Edward Daniel Collie (Ed Dan), Born in Marshall County, Ky. May, 7, 1932, died in Colorado with his family praying beside him Nov, 29, 2012.
He had a full life, worked at many occupations. United Methodist pastor in Ky., upholsterer, landscape designer, artist, and writer and retired as a UMC pastor from Louisa chapel in Clyde, N.C.
A man of principles, a loyal and loving husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend who taught his family and others the love of Jesus and to love family.
He left behind many who loved him: his wife, Sandy Headley Collie of Pueblo, Colo.; seven daughters, Sandra Martinez (Nick) of Woodland Park,; Sarah Warbington (Thomas) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Emily Collie-Hoecherl (Joey) of Lompoc, Calif.; Brenda Kath of Denver, Colo.; Elizabeth Kogos of Charlotte, N.C.; Leah Jennifer Frank of Jerusalem, Isreal; and Freda Collie; three sons, Edd Collie (April) and Kayne Collie (Tiesha), all of Pueblo, Colo., and Samuel Collie of Rapid City, S.D.; grandchildren, Zachary Taylor Dugas, Zackery Pouliot, Sumer Collie, Abigail Rose Warbington, Shane Landenberger, Sarah Jeanne Kogos, Avraham Mordechai, Miram Brocha, Katrina Bell, Mary Anne Martinez, Chloe Warbington, Paige Pouliot, Noah James Martinez, Kalob Wilson Collie, Bailey Kay Warbington, Angela Barbarick, Catherine Dianne Kogos, Israel Moshi, Yehousa Leite, Danielle Bell, Alexsandra Collie, Qunitin Pouliot, Laura Kogos, Zharya Ya’A Kov, Tuuila David, and Samuel David Collie, Jr.; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Kastle. His parents were Ollie Wilson Collie and Lucille Lindsey Collie.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Estes Collie Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
