Jesse Burnett, 71, of West Paducah, died Sunday at his home.

He was a member of Heartland Baptist Church in Paducah. He was a Army National Guard veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Gary Keith Burnett of Vine Grove and Jeffery Dean Burnett of Paducah; daughter, Sherri Burnett Miller of Paducah; brother, Richard Burnett of Atlanta; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Joyce Farmer Burnett; two brothers; two sisters; and a great-grandchild. His parents were John Thomas and Nora Mae Burgess Burnett.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Revs. John Burnett and Glenn Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Burgess Cemetery in Christian County with full military honors. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
