Marcus and Robin Cooper of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Ann Cooper, to Chad Everett Wright, son of Greg and Trina Wright of Paducah.

Miss Cooper is the granddaughter of Janella Parrott of West Paducah and the late Tom Parrott, and Marcus and Opal Cooper of Paducah. She is a 2008 graduate of Heath High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education in 2012 from the University of Kentucky, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in secondary social studies education. She is an alumna of Delta Delta Delta sorority.

Mr. Wright is the grandson of Richard and Bobbi Davis of Paducah, and the late Frank and Ann Wright. He is a 2008 graduate of Heath High School and attends the University of Kentucky. He is employed by the Detroit Tigers.

A December wedding is planned.
