CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Opal Pearl Egner, 91, of Cape Girardeau died at 8 p.m. Monday at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was of the Baptist faith, a housewife, homemaker, and previous owner of Tamms IGA.
She is survived by two daughters, Tonia R. Nielsen of Jacksonville, Ill., and Helen Ann Willis of Tamms, Ill.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Joseph Egner; two brothers; and one sister. Her parents were Samuel Jesse Henson and Minnie Myrtle (Hardy) Henson.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms with Revs. Brent Gordon and Larry Buckles officiating. Interment will follow in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery in Grand Chain, Ill. Friends may call after noon Saturday at the funeral home.
