After a courageous battle with brain cancer, Stuart is now in Heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. On Saturday, November 10, 2012, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully in his residence at 215 Parklane Drive, Lone Oak, Kentucky.

Born on December 28, 1962, Stuart was 49 years old during which time he became an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, and golfing with his many friends.

His favorite sports teams were the Wildcats basketball team of University of Kentucky and the Crimson Tide football team of University of Alabama.

After graduating from Lone Oak High School, Paducah Community College, and Murray State University, he enjoyed a successful career in occupational safety receiving many promotions which required him to reside in Tupelo and West Point, Mississippi; Athens and Florence, Alabama; and Aurora, Illinois.

Most recently he was employed in the corporate office of Sara Lee in Downers Grove, Illinois, as Director of Safety and Environmental Services. Since childhood, Stuart was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church.

Cherishing his memory are parents William F. “Bill” and Nancy Ann Hunt Buckingham of Lone Oak, Kentucky; sister, Melody Ann Lady (Sam) of Kennesaw, Georgia; nieces, Kelly Ann Lady of Kennesaw, Georgia; and Kristy Lynn Lady of Destin, Florida; great-niece, Emery Grace Lang of Kennesaw, Georgia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Stuart was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, three uncles, one aunt, and several cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14 beginning at 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home located at 3745 Old U.S. Highway 45 South, Paducah, Kentucky 42003, (270) 534-4200.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 15, also at the funeral home. Dr. Dan Summerlin, the Rev. Mike Williams, and the Rev. Stan Reid of Lone Oak First Baptist Church will be officiating.

Burial to take place immediately following the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
