BENTON — Lera Ruth Gilliam Garner, 95, of Benton died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

She was a retired sales clerk for Sears, Roebuck and Co. and was a member of Briensburg Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann Wyatt of Benton and Norma Jean Dunn of Murray; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, L.E. Garner; and one brother. Her parents were Andy and Hattie Gilliam.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Ark., with Bobby Baker officiating.

No public visitation is scheduled.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home of Benton.
